Last week, representatives of MPS were invited to participate in two special events attended by the Governor General of Australia, His Excellency Peter Cosgrove and Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove. Mrs Harris, Phillipa A, Damon B and I attended an afternoon tea meeting at Kiama High School where the Governor General acknowledged the “War on Waste” and sustainability initiatives within our local schools. Later that evening, our school captains, Heidi and Charlie attended the official Mayoral Reception at the Pavilion in Kiama. I would like to thank our school representatives and their parents – you were shining examples of our school community at these events!
